Project Description

Students were to make a game out of wood.
Students can design with laser engraver, hand wood burner, or markers
The game is played by flipping a penny from one end of the board into your opponents goal. Students were given two to plan and design / build their project.

Showcase Videos

Content: The top 3 things I learned from this showcase were:

How to use CAD. (Auto Desk Inventor)
How to use the laser engraving.
How to use the band saw and drill press. I love using the powertools in Mr. Starkey’s Design and Modeling class.

Culture: This project relates or connects to my family, background, peers, community or my own personal interests in these ways:

I love frogs and I wanted to express that through my project.

Metacognition: In reflection, one thing that I would have done differently during my journey with this showcase is:

I would have spent more time sanding the edges. That would have made the edges a little smoother.

Social/Emotional: One thing I am most proud of by completing this showcase is:

Working with CAD and laser engraving the frog onto my piece of wood.
