• Talks about potential innovation the medical field has moving on into the future
• Lists various possible technologies being studied today
• Provides insight on how this project has affected me and my goals for the next 4+ years of my life
My dad was diagnosed with ALS about one and a half years ago, so a lot of these medical innovations that I have gone over in this showcase could be life saving for him. Also, my brother has autism. Although I love him just the way he is, I would like to prevent children from having autism. The future of medical technology is growing every day and one day autism may become preventable if scientists, researchers and engineers invent innovations that can do so.
One thing that I would have done differently during my journey with this showcase is to involve my dad in the nerve replacement/repair section and possibly have his input on how nerve replacement/repair would impact his life.
I am proud of this showcase because I have learned something new that I would have never thought to research. I have taken the time to investigate interesting facts about the future of medical technology. It has given me encouragement to reaching my goal of becoming a biomedical researcher.
