My classmate and I designed and painted pedal car so it could be auctioned off for the CancerFree kids Charity. We have completed the following steps:
– came up with a design
– painted a black base layer
– sprayed 3 different pearlescent coats
– slightly scuffed the clear
– airbrushed our designs
– applied the final coat of clear
– assembled it and prepped it to be auctioned off
The top 3 things I learned from this showcase are:
– How to spray pearl coats
– How to airbrush
– how to apply Clear coat
This project relates to me and my family because this project was auctioned off to a charity that provides money to childhood cancer research. I have multiple family members who have or had various cancers. My classmate and I made this pedal car to represent overcoming cancer. I chose space because it signifies that modern cancer research knows no bounds.
One thing I would have done differently was airbrushing the back of the pedal car. I would have done something that would unite our two designs.
One thing I am most proud of by completing this showcase is that I got to help my community by participating in a charity that deals with something that could affect anybody.
