My partner and I made a google slideshow presentation over what construction has taught us.
We covered all of our topics that we had learned this year and included how we used this information to build our final project.
My partner and I included many visuals including pictures of our projects throughout the year.
We took turns explaining about our metacognition, backgrounds, social emotions, etc..
Expression. How to express the knowledge and morals that I learned from doing physical work
Organization. Putting together the project had me retrieve files, pictures and notes that we had worked on months prior.
Partnership. Having a reliable partner was great but I still learned that equal participation is the most rewarding and effective.
I had to describe my background in order to express how it played a part not only in my decision to come to butler tech but my decision to continue working in construction. My background made me who I am today and influenced my decision making skills and how I applied them to my program. Without this project I would not have made that connection.
I would have worked by myself instead of relying on a partnership to help with my projects. I was taught how teamwork works especially in the job field but I feel that I would’ve been more effective if I took on these projects solo.
I am most proud of pleasing my parents with the knowledge that I have gained this year. During my presentation my friends and family saw all my accomplishments that I had achieved this year. The final products were rewarding to me to look at but also impressive for my parents and friends because they now had seen what all I am capable of, with this showcase.
Students and administrators at Butler Tech can submit their projects to us for inclusion on the website. Please only submit projects with appropriate content and that are clearly documented with instructions and outlines, including photos and other references to help readers.
