Training your horse to remain calm while being surrounded by distractions.
A desensitized horse allows for both the horse and rider to remain calm and have a more enjoyable experience.

Content: The top 3 things I learned from this showcase were:

I learned the importance of desensitizing your horse.
We discuss obstacles to overcome while training your horse.
I investigated reasons for a horse to refuse this training.

Culture: This project relates or connects to my family, background, peers, community or my own personal interests in these ways:

The student identified that they had always loved horses and felt that by learning this desensitizing technique it would assist them as the worked with other horses in the future.

Metacognition: In reflection, one thing that I would have done differently during my journey with this showcase is:

This entire experience was so educational, enjoyable, and engaging.

Social/Emotional: One thing I am most proud of by completing this showcase is:

I am proud of overcoming my fear of working with such a large animal.
I am also happy that I could help Rafiki overcome his fear of sounds and objects moving close to his body.
