Project Description

Students took photos of various genres to practice their photography skills and edited some to practice photo editing.

Content: The top 3 things I learned from this showcase were:

I learned more about taking pictures
I learned how to use Photoshop and Lightroom through watching online tutorials through UDEMY, that is provided by Butler Tech.

Culture: This project relates or connects to my family, background, peers, community or my own personal interests in these ways:

This project relates to my family, background, etc. mainly because I took some of the photos at my sister’s soccer tournament with my Grandpa. I mean, I did get some pictures at my friend’s Court of Honor, so that was cool. It was also nice to talk about this with some of my family.

Metacognition: In reflection, one thing that I would have done differently during my journey with this showcase is:

I would learn more about the DSLR Camera and how they work before I would go out and take pictures at night. My night pictures would have turned out a lot more diverse. Most of them are just pictures of a lantern. The most challenging part of the project was editing the photos

Social/Emotional: One thing I am most proud of by completing this showcase is:

I am probably the proudest of how far I’ve come this semester. At first, I didn’t know much about photography. I didn’t know anything about Photoshop and Lightroom.
