Students were able to discover how who they are, what they stand for, their own prejudices, and their personal morals/beliefs impact their community.
The goal of the project was to get students to explore their own identity through cultural heritage, beliefs, and adversities to bring to life a positive impact on the community of their choosing.
"Students put together great projects. However, something I would do differently next time is put more emphasis on the timeline for the final product to be created and document in a journal a reflection over each piece as they came to explore their identities on a deeper level."
"I actually feel as if i did make a difference in a couple people's lives."
"I have to say that I am proud of my work. It truly means something to me and although nervous about presenting the final product the work and thought I put into it made me proud to display my journey."
