Project Description

My showcase explains in detail about character design and my process for creating them, which is based off of various types of insects. I dive deep into my knowledge about a lalaloopsy doll.

Content: The top 3 things I learned from this showcase were:

During my showcase, I learned about working in a limited color palette, while still creating visually appealing outfits.
I enjoyed explaining my thoughts to the audience about work that I am so passionate about.

Culture: This project relates or connects to my family, background, peers, community or my own personal interests in these ways:

I’ve always been extremely interested in character design and I had been creating characters for several years. Insecta was something that came about last summer and drawing them out has made me push my art to new levels.

Metacognition: In reflection, one thing that I would have done differently during my journey with this showcase is:

Next time, I will go into a little more depth about how I created the outfits.

Social/Emotional: One thing I am most proud of by completing this showcase is:

That I was able to share my passion for art with people that may not be as familiar.
