Project Description

  • Our project shows how to perform a car alignment
  • Explains what Camber, Caster, and Toe
  • Explains what having a misalignment can cause

Content: The top 3 things I learned from this showcase were:

We learned that:

  • Caster is the forward and backwards tilt of the suspension
  • Camber is the inward and outward tilt of the top of the tire
  • Toe is the inward and outward tilt of the front of the tire

Culture: This project relates or connects to my family, background, peers, community or my own personal interests in these ways:

One of our group members needed an alignment on their personal vehicle and we were able to fix it ourselves and learn about the process of alignment.

Metacognition: In reflection, one thing that I would have done differently during my journey with this showcase is:

We would have taken more time to road test our alignment to make sure that it was properly done. Since we had time constraints due to our limited class time, it was difficult to complete the checks.

Social/Emotional: One thing I am most proud of by completing this showcase is:

We are proud that while putting together the project we were able to keep the entire group focused on the project. It was challenging but

we managed to complete the project anyway.
