Project Description

District leadership teams, Central Office departments, campus principals and satellite supervisors collaborated this past summer to reflect on school culture, instruction and stakeholder engagement.

Each team worked to customize goals and present them in a unique way aligned to the district metrics.  Each showcase contained 3-5 goals.  Following each goal each team had to include the following:

  • Action steps
  • Celebrations
  • Key moments
  • Anticipation of obstacles
  • Soliciting voice from stakeholders


Our goal was to engage in strategic planning while providing creativity and innovation for the purpose of creating ownership at each team or department’s respective level.


After designing plans all summer, 10 different teams presented to over 100 teachers and staff members from the district.  The purpose was to begin practicing how to bring these plans to life in a fun method and solicit feedback for improvement.

The plans will evolve into a 2.0 version and be presented later in the school year to all staff members and the school board.
