The top 3 things I learned from this showcase are:

  • The in-depth duties of a K-9 officer
  • The skills in which the K-9s are individually trained
  • How the K-9 Unit came to be

Culture: This project relates or connects to my family, background, peers, community or my own personal interests in these ways:

This project relates to me and my career choice. I am a student in the Criminal Justice program at Butler Tech. I plan to become a police officer, and quite possibly, a K-9 unit officer. I chose the K-9 Unit as my topic because I wanted to learn more about this career that I may choose to pursue.

Metacognition: In reflection, one thing that I would have done differently during my journey with this showcase is:

Social/Emotional: One thing I am most proud of by completing this showcase is:

The thing I am most proud of when reflecting on my showcase is that I was able to dig up factual information, share it with my peers, and finish my presentation knowing that I had taught everyone something. (I also got lots of compliments on my art skills!)
