Project Description

– Magazine about me
– Photoshop & Illustrator techniques
– Personal essay and quotes

Content: The top 3 things I learned from this showcase were:

1) The right people will accept you for who you are; you just have to find them.
2) Sometimes it’s okay to be alone
3) I love photoshop (Illustrator is tolerated)

Culture: This project relates or connects to my family, background, peers, community or my own personal interests in these ways:

This project connects to me and solely me. However I am featuring one of my friends in the magazine because I thought it looked cool. It doesn’t reflect my background, but it does show what I perceive will be in the future. The essay I wrote for the magazine tells of what hardships I’ve come across, how I overcame them, and how I plan on moving forward in the future.

Metacognition: In reflection, one thing that I would have done differently during my journey with this showcase is:

One thing I would have done differently was to include some of my art pieces outside of photography.

Social/Emotional: One thing I am most proud of by completing this showcase is:

How put together it looks. But I’m most proud of the front cover, it was very difficult to get the brightness right without making the screen too dark or blending in with the background.
