PLTW Engineering at Lakota West Freshman built bat houses for Clear Creek Elementary first grade students who are studying bat habitat. These houses will fill the void where bat habitat has been disturbed.

Howard wants to be an engineer, this project has inspired him. All the students involved have discovered they enjoy building things and working with their hands. The students have also realized that it feels good to help others.
Measure twice and cut once… We wasted some wood because we didn’t check the measurements enough.
That the bats will have a home. We are helping the environment. The bats are losing their homes because of trees being removed and we helped give them a home.
