– Saran wrap box attached for safely wrapping the battery
– Made to store batteries for recycling

Showcase Video

Content: The top 3 things I learned from this showcase were:

The most interesting thing we learned about this content while working is that batteries can be recycled in a safe way. However, if done in the wrong way could cause batteries to heat up and potentially be a fire hazard.
Other aspects or areas of our content that we wanted to dive into was where exactly batteries are recycled and where they go when once recycled.
We can see us using this skill in are life/career when we want to recycle batteries because it causes less leakage into ground water or into ocean water.

Culture: This project relates or connects to my family, background, peers, community or my own personal interests in these ways:

Our culture impacted the way we approached or viewed are learning because we all had different ideas and different type of ways we learned throughout the work process.
Our learning influences the perspective on our culture by the different ways some of us made decisions to do different projects, but in the end we came together on an idea. Even though we had controversial ideas we came to agreement.
Our learning impacted or influence our culture by viewing how others in the group learn and implement it into our own ways of educating ourselves.

Metacognition: In reflection, one thing that I would have done differently during my journey with this showcase is:

We failed forward in our learning by accepting that we almost lost our saran wrap due to us safely securing our materials.
If we were to do this again we would experiment with more ideas and make more prototypes made instead of just trying three ideas. We could have done more research on ways to separate and store the batteries.
The part that taught me that most was that we need to safely secure our property because if we had done so in the beginning we wouldn’t have lost our saran wrap and at the end not to be afraid to keep looking for safer solutions at the last minute.

Social/Emotional: One thing I am most proud of by completing this showcase is:

While reflecting on this learning activity, we struggled with people stealing our project supplies. There was no need for them to take our supplies and next time we need to keep our supplies more secure.
What we learned about how we interact with others is that you have to have the willingness to get things done in order for a group to work well.
What we learned is that having a group means we can find where each of us have our strengths and weaknesses are and try to improve on them while working on the main project.
